About me
So, who am I?
I am me–for all the things I am to other people, I am also just me, quietly.
I am a wife to my favorite person in the world, my best friend, the love of my life, the only person I want to spend every day with.
I am a mother to two amazing kids.
I am a working mom.
I am a licensed CPA, but I don’t know much about taxes, besides thinking that personal income taxes are fun (to complete, not to pay).
I am a knitter. I am slow, I mess up a lot, but I love it.
I read. I read a lot. I re-read stuff I like.
I love to sing. I’m the person you see in the morning in the car next to you who has the radio blasting and is singing at the top of her lungs and dancing even though it’s 7 in the morning.
I drink a lot of coffee (hence the bopping in the car).
I am a cheap date–one drink and I’m down for the count.
I love movies–funny, scary, dramatic, romantic, formulaic. I love them all. Except the Dark Crystal.
I am feisty, spirited, fiercely independent, sweet, compassionate, stubborn, fun, happy-go-lucky, intelligent, witty, capable, clever, and I refuse to be bullied. I want to make the world a better place.
Oh, and I love Britney Spears.

Hi Katy, thank you for the nice comment on my blog. By reading a comment from Kullervo on Simeon’s blog I pieced together we may have met at one point. My wife and I lived in DC for a little less than a year from 04-05. We were there when the Capitol Hill Branch becmme a Ward (good times). Looking back that was my favorite ward as the church in DC is vastly different from that of the west. We loved the cultural make-up of the ward, and the energy of living in the Capitol. We lived in NE at Maryland and 13th and moved back to Arizona to be closer to family here in Phoenix and San Diego. However, we really miss DC and someday we do plan on returning my wife seems to think in 15 years but I am hoping for 3-5.
Hope you and Kullervo are doing well.

Katy… I think I have found the right Katy anyway…
Do you remember a Crystal… I think I used to post on a military spouse message board with you and we used to chat on messenger. I was talking to some moms tonight about that board and I have wondered what you’ve been up to so tried to search for you.
My husband used to be in logistics in the Air Force and we talked about how your dad had his site dealing with those jobs…
Anyway, I hope I’ve found the right person and if so… I hope to hear from you.
Crystal

Hi Katy,
It’s Joyce from the HH6 board. I’m amazed at how you do it all – work, raising a kid, and staying a sensible, sane woman with interests outside of your job! Anyway, I’ll see you on the board, which I just made a donation to today. Where else are we going to congregate and vent?

Hi Katy,
I was just on a thread commenting about disposables and reducing waste.
I’d like to offer an invitation to you to visit my site on Baby Pottying as a way to reduce the amount of poop you need to manage!

I’d also love to work with you on a series of blog posts on the topic if you are interested, sometime soon (we are about to move interstate, 1200km’s across Australia!)
